FSTC ONLINE Class Descriptions

The ServSafe® program has become the industry standard in food safety training, and provides accurate up-to-date information for ALL levels of employees on all aspects of handling food safely, from receiving and storing to preparing and serving. You will learn science-based information on how to run a safe food establishment.

In many American states and counties the Health Department Requires that many types of food establishments MUST have at least one Certified Food Protection Manager. Check with your local county Department of Health for training requirements which apply to you.

Andy Bozeman #5389498 and FOOD SAFETY TRAINING CENTER is certified by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation to teach  ServSafe®  on-line, on-demand classes for the certification of food-protection-managers and food-handlers in order to comply with State law.

Available NOW

8 Hour Certification - English ON-DEMAND ServSafe® Certification Class

  • This class is taught in English, and satisfies most eight hour training requirements. Check with your local county Department of Health for training requirements which apply to you.
  • The Ticket Life is 120 hours ( measured in running-clock-time, NOT stop-watch time ). The clock keeps running even if you log off. But, you get 120 hours to complete a course. Then you may start and stop according to your schedule to watch, and review the entire program as many times as you wish within that 120 hour Ticket Life.
  • You MUST get all the way to the end of the program to be eligible for the Completion of Training Code (COTC).

The Process for the 8 Hour Class

  1. Register and pay online for a class.
  2. The ServSafe® book and a Class Ticket Code will be sent to you. The Class Ticket Code will also be emailed to you as soon as your online registration is processed.
  3. After you receive the book, take a few days to read it. (recommended)
  4. Log-in to www.FSTC-USA.com, and click on SIGN IN NOW
  5. Enter your email addrress and Class Ticket Code to start your training.
  6. The 120 hour training time begins when you start the first chapter. You can start and stop as needed, but you must finish the entire training to be eligible for the Completion of Training Code.
  7. Once the running-clock-time begins, your ticket is considered SPENT. If you can’t complete the 9 hours of training within 120 hours, or you change your mind about taking the training during that same 120 hours, you must register and pay for another class.





Coming January 2012

ServSafe® Starters® On-Line Class
The FOOD SAFETY TRAINING CENTER uses common workplace language and Real World scenarios to teach this class that covers critical food safety information intended to aid Food Service establishments in training their staff to help maintain a safe and clean environment, and a good health score. Your employees will receive the ServSafe® Starters® Employee Guide (a printed booklet with an assessment quiz) that will be used during the class. At the end of the class the 40 question assessment quiz can be administered by your onsite manager, and will accurately measure knowledge and understanding of food safety. After completing the class your employees will have a better understanding of proper food handling techniques.

The ServSafe® Starters® On-Demand Training Class lasts approximately 3 hours, and covers the following key food safety topics :

  • Personal Hygiene
  • Safe Food Handling
  • Time & Temperature Control
  • Cross-contamination and allergens
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing
  • Safe Chemical Handling

3 Hour ServSafe® Starters®  - English ON-DEMAND Class

  • This class is taught in English, and satisfies most non-manager food handler training requirements. Check with your local county Department of Health for training requirements which apply to non-manager food handlers.
  • The Ticket Life is 48 hours ( measured in clock-time, NOT stop-watch time ). You may start and stop according to your schedule to watch, and review the entire program as many times as you wish within that 48 hour clock-time limit.

The Process for the 3 Hour ServSafe® Starters®  Class

  1. Register online for a class.
  2. The ServSafe® Starters® book and a Class Coupon Code will be sent to you by USPS Priority Mail. The Class Coupon Code will also be emailed to you as soon as your online registration is processed.
  3. After you receive the book, take a few days to read it. (recommended)
  4. Log-in to www.FSTC-USA.com, and click on SIGN IN NOW
  5. Follow the prompts, and enter your Class Coupon Code.
  6. The 48 hour training time begins. You may start and stop according to your schedule to watch, and review the entire program as many times as you wish within that 48 hour clock-time limit.
  7. Once the clock-time begins, your ticket is considered SPENT. If you can’t complete the 3 hours of training within 48 hours, or you change your mind about taking the training during that same 48 hours, you must register and pay for another class.

8 Hour Certification – Spanish / English Hybrid
ON-DEMAND ServSafe® Certification Class

  • This class is taught in English, but the Power Point and video presentation content is in Spanish. This class satisfies most eight hour training requirements. Check with your local county Department of Health for training requirements which apply to you.
  • The Ticket Life is 120 hours ( measured in clock-time, NOT stop-watch time ). You may start and stop according to your schedule to watch, and review the entire program as many times as you wish within that 120 hour clock-time limit.
  • You must view the entire program. Mandatory poll questions throughout the program must be answered to prove attendance. You must comply with this rule to be eligible for the Completion of Training Document.
  • You MUST get all the way to the end of the program to be eligible for the Completion of Training Document.
